Our latest information is that Dave is undergoing
spinal surgery in Boston. His doctors have expressed confidence and his
condition is stable.
We're told that the kind of surgery he's undergoing is considered routine after spinal trauma of this kind. His head injuries as well are not as severe as originally suspected.
Bev, Brad, and other family members are with him. Please hold them all in your hearts.
I cannot begin to express my sadness at the events that have befallen you. I can only extend condolences and hopes for better days to come for you all. Stay strong.
ReplyDeleteOnly God knows why this is happening to you and your family right now but have hope Dave because there is light at the end of the tunnel!
ReplyDeleteThis one hit me hard. Dave has been such a big part of my growth as a person, educator, student, activist, and practitioner. He, like many other IDCE students have already said, has been a big influence in my work, and how I see/analyze the world. His devotion to his family and his student has always been inspiring. Dave would do anything for anyone and I cannot start to imagine the pain, suffering and loss his family is experiencing right now. I am thinking of you all with my all love and keeping everyone in my thoughts and heart. Meagan, I met you a couple of times and the love and joy you radiated was so clear, and so was Dave's love and devotion to you. Rest in peace Meagan. And, speedy recovery to you, Dave. May you all find peace and comfort in knowing that so many people care and love you.
ReplyDeleteWe are all sad for what happened. I send my condolences to Dr. Bell and his family. This is a tough time you are all going through and you have our support, hearts and thoughts
