Good energy and love to the Bells

Dear Friends,

We are shocked and saddened by the tragic accident suffered by the Bells and the Mundt family in Haiti on July 10.

This page is being set up by friends of the Bells, as a place to share our thoughts, love and good energy.

Please use the comments space below to send your messages of goodwill to Dave, Bev and Brad. You can also use comments here to send us suggestions or offers of help. As you do so, please understand that we can't be certain just when these messages will reach them as they struggle through this difficult time. We will do our best to make all appropriate comments available to the family, but their privacy is paramount.  They are waiting to hear what the doctors say about Dave's condition and what they need to do to him.

We will share links to any corresponding sites concerning the Mundt family that we become aware of.

Thank you,

Kiran and Robert

  1. Sending love and support to Dave and his family. May healing and recovery be present immediately. Dave made a huge impression on my life, and touched me greatly with his stories of the love and growth he has experienced as Meagan's father. My thoughts are with you all.

  4. When I think of my time at Clark, there are a few people who's useful wisdom I continue to carry with me. Dave is one of those few. My thoughts and prayers go out to him & his family. As I can only image how difficult this time may be for the family, I extend all my best wishes.

  5. My dear Meagan: Thank you for all the happiness you brought to our lives. Thank you for the intensity with which you engaged every moment of life. Thank you for your open, honest and fresh interactions with everybody and everything. Thank you for the games and stories. I am sorry I did not take you out for that drink that I promised you after you turned 21. I keep with me that precious moment when you were the only one able to approach Dilma and me; we had burst into tears and were crying intense sadness because I was leaving Worcester. You hugged us, consoled us and loved us without fears. My dear friend, a piece of you stays with us forever. Have a good journey.

  15. Dear friends...You are in my heart. Dave and Bev, I pray for your full recovery. I am so sorry for the loss of Meagan. I, along with all who know and love you, send you strength, love, and healing light.
Meagan, you were and will always be a bright and shining star to everyone who met you. When I think of you, your vivacious laugh and your playful spirit envelop me. I keep seeing you bouncing down the bleachers selling 50/50 tickets at Lacrosse and field hockey...yelling at the refs at hockey, screaming out the cheers supporting all those Amherst players. You loved to tease Skyler and make him laugh! What a great sense of humor you had. I will look up in the heavens tonight here in Hawaii and see you shining once more.
I know that you have touched the lives of all you met...I wish you peace.
Brad, I was so concerned that you had to face this on your end alone. I know Skyler is wishing hard that he was there with you...to drive you to Boston..to sit with you through the waiting. Be strong. We love you.
I am so sorry for your pain and loss.
Amanda's family...you are also held deep in my heart. She was an amazing young woman who was changing peoples' lives for the better. Blessings, Karen

  18. I echo other people's comments - thank you Kiran and Robert for starting this. Often, I think of Dave and the wonderful teacher that he is. I enjoyed this Ed. Dev. and Monitoring and Eval. courses. I love how he always says "Hi" if he knows you - I work with people now who don't do that. Megan visited the dept. often and was sweet. It's hard to think of the loss of Megan, Amanda and her aunt, who were doing great things in the world, only to have their lives lost in an accident. Every day I send good thoughts for Dave, his healing and recovery. Please let us know if you have any news of his condition when you are able.

  20. Kiran and Robert, thank you for putting this together.

Dave, I have dallied in writing this because no words would come to me, but I don't think there are words for this. I feel lucky to have known Megan for the brief minutes I talked with her at the Spring Fling but in that short time it was evident that she was a bright and joyous light. My deepest condolences to you and Bev. My sincerest wishes of strength, healing, and light for your family.
